Kayla is the Owner, Operator, and Clinic Director of HLCC. She is also a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who encourages self-empowerment. Her clients can expect a laid-back and welcoming experience. Kayla believes the job of a therapist is to walk alongside the client in their journey, not to provide directives and ultimatums.

As you work with Kayla, clients will be provided a safe space to explore interventions within the therapeutic setting that are specific to their own needs and goals.  When Kayla is not working, she enjoys grabbing the closest mystery book, enjoying a cup of tea on the porch while watching nature, and creating meals for her family to enjoy.

I have nearly 25 years of experience in the mental health and medical social work fields. I am trauma-informed and trained. I hold a safe space for all. My approach is warm, non-judgmental and direct. Along with a Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Social Work, I have advanced certificates in family trauma and substance abuse. My focus is on anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship struggles. I also have considerable experience with LGBTQIA+, traditional and non-traditional relationships. I strive to meet individuals where they are at.

Hi, I am Genoa. I am a Marriage and Family Therapist-I! I specialize in Solution Focused Therapy and Narrative Approaches. I received my undergrad degree at Liberty University and specialize in Military resilience and love working with military members and their families. I have completed level 1 Gottman training and enjoy utilizing Gottman techniques with couples. I like working with all ages and involving as many willing parties as possible with my systems approach. In my spare time, I can be found spending time with my husband and three kids. I enjoy attending their many sports practices and games. I love reading, planning getaways for my family, and listening to podcasts on the treadmill.

Hello! My name is Tiffany! I am a mother, nurse, social worker, and mental health counselor with an emphasis on substance use disorders. Additionally, I am a domestic violence survivor and mother to a non-binary child with special needs. I approach my role as a helper from a holistic perspective – you are not your diagnosis, rather diagnosis plays a part in the “big picture”. Mind, body, and spirit – each aspect of your life will impact all other aspects of daily life. I believe you are the owner of your life journey, and you hold the answers to obtaining your best life. I can provide a safe space to be heard and/or provide guidance, as you determine the path you want to take. To date, my most unique experiences have occurred while providing phone case management to responders and survivors of the 9/11 World Trade Center attacks. I look forward to joining you on your journey to self-fulfillment!

As an MSW Intern, I hope to bring new knowledge and experience to my role. My professional journey has been shaped by a commitment to empowering individuals, particularly children and adolescents, who have faced trauma, periods of familial separation, and challenges in healthy attachment. I've been fortunate to gain valuable experience across diverse areas. Most recently, I have gained experience within the area of Domestic Violence services through work as a Domestic Violence assessor and Certified Batterers intervention treatment provider. Additionally, I’ve worked on developing a skillset in engagement with children, adolescents, families, and service providers. I have also dedicated myself to assisting those facing mental health and substance use challenges. By employing a trauma-informed approach, I strive to create a safe and supportive environment that fosters empowerment and healing. One of my primary areas of interest lies in working to understand the profound impact of addiction and domestic violence. I am dedicated to understanding the long-term implications of mental health and utilizing this knowledge to inform effective intervention strategies. I am deeply intrigued by the repercussions of family disruption related to incarceration and its enduring effects on the family unit.  Beyond my professional pursuits, my heart finds joy in traveling, camping, kayaking, fishing, and spending quality time with my husband and cherished family.

Hi everyone! My name is Chelsy H. I am a graduate of Arizona State University with a master's in social work. I recently became licensed as an advanced practice social worker.  I have many years of experience working with youth and their families in many different capacities. I started my career working with children on the autism spectrum, moved into working with at-risk youth in Juneau County, and currently, I work for CESA 5 as a mental health professional.  My passion is working with youth on their mental health and helping them to succeed. Outside of the clinical world, I enjoy spending time with my family. We have three kids, two girls and a boy. They keep me busy between school sports and gymnastics. We are also an outdoor family and enjoy all things hiking, walking, and swimming. I look forward to working alongside you as you achieve your goals.

Hi, I’m Prativa! As a committed person in counseling, I have a strong desire to support people's emotional health and personal development. My goal is to establish a secure and welcoming environment where clients are welcome to explore their ideas, feelings, and experiences. I base this goal on a solid foundation of respect, empathy, and cultural awareness. I provide a space where clients feel free to discuss their ideas, emotions, and experiences without worrying about being judged or criticized by others by using a kind and nonjudgmental approach. I recognize that every person has their own journey, and I value each client's uniqueness and independence. Without putting any of my personal biases or presumptions on their clients, I try to understand their worldviews when I approach counseling. I like to work with any population. I have worked with Patan Mental hospital in Nepal and residents of Salvation Army, La Crosse. I am doing my master’s in counseling at Viterbo university. In my free time, I love to listen to music and clean my surroundings. I believe that cleaning my space helps to detox my negative emotions which I consider as a self-care. I love to be in nature and have strong faith in spirituality.

Greetings! My name is Erin B. I was born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, but I currently live in the Midwest with my husband and pets - a yellow lab named Bailey and a cat named Millie. I recently graduated from Aurora University with a Master’s Degree in Social Work. I also hold a bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation from Eastern Washington University, with National Certification in Therapeutic Recreation.

My passion for mental health has led me to volunteer, intern, and work professionally in the field since 2018, and I’ve enjoyed every moment of it. I love engaging in arts and crafts, sports, games, and learning new coping skills for any need. While I have a particular interest in working with children and adolescents, I enjoy working with people of all ages by helping them achieve their goals and acquire new coping and emotional regulation skills.

I have experience in play therapy, children's emotional regulation, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. When we work together, we can play a game, work on an art project, or enjoy the natural environment.

During my free time, I love reading, coaching or playing volleyball, spending time with my family and pets, enjoying the outdoors, gardening, and playing games. Hello, everyone! My name is Sepbrina, and I am a level 2 Reiki Practitioner with four years of experience practicing on myself and close friends and family members. Alongside my two certifications, I hold two Bachelors degrees in psychology and criminal justice, and I am currently working on a Masters Degree in psychology. With this understanding of how stressful the world can be, though I am still relatively new to the field, I have begun to appreciate how much relaxation techniques are needed to get through the daily situations that make up life. I am here to offer a helping hand to whoever needs it, regardless of demographics. I look forward to meeting and working with you on your journey.
